Just 1.5 hours driving from Hanoi, Perfume Pagoda in one the most important Buddhism religious sites in Vietnam. The Pagoda itself is built into limestone cliffs and you can reach by boat and foot or cable. Floating along scenic waterways and climbing up mountain paths, visiting the pagodas and temples that were built in this area over centuries.

Leave Hanoi at 8.00am. This trip takes us to one of the most spectacular pagodas in allof Vietnam, Chua Huong or the “Perfume Pagoda”. A private small row boat will take you through the beautiful landscape along the Yen River, along the way we stop at Den Trinh (pagoda of presentation). The journey further down the river and arrive at the foot of Huong Tich Mountain (mountain of the fragrant traces). From where the sampan drops you, a stone flagged path takes you to Thien Tru (pagoda leading to heaven) built in the 17th century and dedicated to the goddess Quan Am. The trek to Huong Tich Chu (pagoda of the perfumed vestiges) is both interesting and rewarding. When you reach the top, you will be rewarded with the fine view & an appetizing picnic lunch. Enjoy the climb down mountain, join your waiting sampan and relish the much deserved 2 hours trip back up the river to your waiting vehicle. Arrive Hanoi at around 18.00.

Remarks: The annual festival in this region lasts 2 months (January & February) and is very crowded during this time. For those who do not mind crowds it will be an unforgettable experience.
